![]() ![]() I can't distinguish one district from another really, it's just loads of identical looking rooftops. In this it's all still fairly bright at night time. The first game used to get really dark at night, the radio would crackle "Good night, good luck" and you'd be on your own in proper gloom and it was really atmospheric. ![]() It was exciting and different, here it's just a pain in the arse. The game actively wants me to go out at night, you're warned that lots of activities (like raiding locations for ingredients) are more viable at night when the infected numbers are lower you get additional XP and bonuses for running around at night - so why make it a chore to do so? I'm sure in the first game I spent a lot of time creeping freely about at night for long periods avoiding the big bads. So everytime I go out at night or enter a dark space I get a timer pop up (currently 5 minutes) which means I can't freely explore without feeling rushed or having to pop inhibitors or mushrooms (finite resources) or scurry back to a UV light source to reset. I know you can upgrade it, which I've done twice but it's slow going. I suppose you could say stamina management is part of it but I just find it annoying to fall off stuff or not be able to take the route I want to take because Aiden has gone all wheezy. Essentially it's gated the parkour and made it irritating to run and jump around in a game about running and jumping. I really liked the first one but this one has a few areas that I'm not keen on I'd heard mixed things but figured I'd pick it up cheap and.yeah, I'm not really enjoying it.
